My career has spanned the worlds of technology and art as a product designer/product owner, and as an executive producer/artist manager in the creative arts, mainly in music business. I’ve done hands-on producing of many forms of content development, including recorded music, live video streaming, and podcast production. I designed and delivered core features of several iconic software products, including Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Windows. The music artists and producers I’ve discovered, financed, and managed are responsible for hundreds of millions of streams. I discovered music artist Allen Stone, bringing him from his home town of Chewelah, WA when he was 18 to Seattle to finance and make his first two albums. I’ve managed and financed artists such as Daramola (producer for Social Club Misfits, Lecrae, Ke$ha), Mr. Talkbox (5 Grammys with Bruno Mars’ "24k Magic"), Jeremy Rosado (The Voice, American Idol), BrvndonP (producer for Lecrae), and many more. In technology and software, I’ve shipped many software commercial products, and features within, including Microsoft Visual Studio, and Microsoft Windows. I did the user research that led to the Start Button in Windows. I’ve logged over 5000 hours personally observing and collecting data of people using technology products both in the field and in the usability lab. I have deep experience with leading and running teams, software engineering, the product development process, and project management. I have a broad range of professional content development, digital media, & creative industry experience: A&R/talent management, executive producing, legal/copyright law, publishing, recording, mixing, mastering, video live streaming, producing live events end-to-end, social media & digital content strategy. I’m also a live sound engineer, running front-of-house for up to several thousand people using state of the sound systems by Yamaha, EV and others. I can code apps, websites, prototypes, and demos with many programming languages and development technologies, and I’m currently obsessed with the Unreal Engine. I've been a corporate trainer at Microsoft and I currently teach as an adjunct instructor at Northwest University's Creatio creative arts program teaching both UX design and music and media business.
