Since my early 20s, I have been heavily involved in the esports industry. During that time I've covered a multitude of disciplines, including Head of Broadcast (National University Esports League), observer (Multiplay, ESL), and most commonly, shoutcaster (Ubisoft, Activision Blizzard, ESL, Multiplay, Kinguin).

I've worked abroad in countries such as Canada, Poland, and Switzerland at live events as on-air talent and frequently cast online events from the comfort of my own home (not a bad day in the office!). With some of these events drawing hundreds of thousands of viewers per broadcast, I've been blessed with covering some of the greatest tournaments the industry can offer.

TrainYo was my first ever angel investment. Following the tragic passing of one of the co-founders and a very tough market, the company unfortunately closed its doors in December 2023. Rest easy Sunil 💙

I'm Derry, the CEO & co-founder of OneUp Sales (by day) and a professional video games commentator (by night). I have a background in software development but if the last 7 years have shown me anything, it's that my passion truly lies in creating, building, and growing software companies.

I love learning and broadening my understanding of SaaS and so I angel invest in startups (£2-5k) as part of a UK B2B SaaS-focused syndicate.
