• Project: Smarten Advance Data Discovery & Analytical Tools for the Citizen Data Scientist (using Apache Spark MLlib, R, Java, Teradata)
• Successfully executed the initial framework for predictive modeling using R & Spark, implemented a variety of ML algorithms at scale using diverse datasets including Decision Tree, Naïve Bayes, SVM, Regression, Clustering, Time Series Forecasting and more, while working on a range of projects in a fast-paced environment with the team.
• Developed modern BI solutions for enterprise to self-serve the business users and displayed expertise in optimizing the existing scripts to Apache Spark, reducing the runtime from 30 minutes to less than a minute – while improving accuracy & performance.

• Project: Large scale Medical Image Analysis to identify Tumor Pattern Similarities from Image Corpus (using MATLAB, Hadoop – HDFS, MapReduce – Parallel Processing, XML)
• Closely collaborated with Medical Imaging team and Oncology department to design and develop scalable analytical ML models for tumor pattern matching and growth prediction.
• Worked on analyzing a large image dataset to understand Brain Tumor Patterns by implementing a predictive model using CBIR (Content Based Image Retrieval), taking query image as an input, extracting shape, intensity & texture and feeding those into an XML-based template to perform dynamic pattern matching & identify the closest image.

As a Data Analytics professional at Baylor College of Medicine, I leverage my Post Graduate degree in Computer Science and expertise in the Data Science field to drive innovation in ongoing cancer research. I am a highly analytical and proactive problem-solver with a passion for impacting the healthcare domain. My current role involves analyzing complex datasets related to cancer research and designing, developing and maintaining data visualizations, dashboards and various types of metrics to support different research purposes. I am dedicated to using my skills in data analytics to drive positive change and improve patient outcomes in the healthcare industry.
