My curiosity started when I realised my former employer owned 11.000 patents and needed help developing new business models and revenue streams. What caused the growth and decline? Like a real corporation, we had our glory moments and failures. We learned. Being adaptive is distinct gameplay. To better understand why business models succeed or fail, I did a masterclass in business design at Alexander OSsterwalder and Yves Pigneur. Mindblowing and so valuable for me to see the bigger picture. Improving your business requires guts, curiosity, and learning to stay future-proof. But most of all: leadership. Darwin, or God, depending on what you believe, gave us two ears and one mouth. Listen to what other customers and customers have to say. Opportunities are hidden in conversations and human behaviour, not products and services. The last one is the outcome. Managing a company is a challenging profession. Time is limited. Who will execute? And how can I motivate the staff? And make sure that the talent is retained. Customers, competitors, new players, and disruptions always show up with little fuss. You should pay attention to how the competitor is pampering your customers, or you will lose the endgame. What do I do? Having clear, ethical branding will help you to clarify your message. Combining this with an improved business model will help you capture the business. Always apply a value-based strategy. Continue to identify the needs of customers. My five strengths that clients value. -Ideation Talented in Ideation and fascinated by ideas. I can find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena. -Individualisation Intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. Working out how people who are different can work together productively -Futuristic Talented in the Futuristic theme are inspired by the future and what could be. I encourage others with visions of the future. -Input Talented in the Input theme have a craving to know more. l like to collect and archive all kinds of information. -Activator I make things happen by turning thoughts into action.
