I am a neuroscientist, entrepreneur and educator passionate about spatial computing, neurotechnology, and advancing the future of mobility. Currently, I serve as the CEO of Neurobotx, a Boeing-backed neuromorphic computing company that has raised over $65M to pioneer innovations in the metaverse for autonomous vehicles and air taxis. As a Guest Professor at the Neuro Business School in Barcelona, I teach topics ranging from the neuroscience of spatial computing to game development in Unity and Unreal, empowering future leaders to navigate the intersection of technology and human cognition. Additionally, I contribute as an Editor at Cambridge University Press, where I specialize in neurotechnology and biomaterials for brain implants. A Journey of Scientific Discovery and Innovation During my PhD at the Max Planck Institute and the Technical University of Munich, I developed a groundbreaking method to extract the input-output computations of single neurons in living mice. This required mastering advanced techniques such as two-photon laser microscopy, patch-clamp electrophysiology, and intricate brain surgery with dye injection. I perfected these methods across 11 state-of-the-art setups valued between €500K and €3M, culminating in research within the two-time Nobel laureates' lab that discovered grid cells, the neurons responsible for spatial mapping. This work inspired my passion for spatial computing, neuroscience, and artificial general intelligence (AGI). My research has bridged theoretical concepts with practical applications, leading to innovative projects at Neurobotx that integrate neuroscience with robotics, VR, and AI.
