I am a senior hotel investor who is passionate about creating value in real estate. Because I’ve personally sat in almost every seat in the hotel real estate sector, I deeply understand both the investor and consumer mindsets. Over my career I’ve managed $7.5 billion in hospitality real estate and accumulated broad “cradle to grave” hotel investment experience. I combine my personal experience developed across real estate cycles with the strength of the Portman platform to identify and execute value add investment strategies for our hotel portfolio. My work is grounded in a belief that real estate can do more than deliver strong returns – it can adapt to meet disruption and innovation, solve complex problems, and positively impact communities. Portman Holdings has been a pioneer in developing urban environments that others saw as too great of a challenge. From Atlanta, to Times Square, to Shanghai, we developed iconic projects that reawakened once abandoned and blighted urban areas. Today, Portman Holdings is an efficient, highly-skilled and well-rounded real estate development team with a specific focus on hospitality, office, multi-family, industrial, and mixed-use projects in urban infill settings. The vertically integrated team commands a substantial global network and has a proven track record with the world’s top financial institutions. I grew up in Northeastern Ohio, and my love of real estate came from my studies and early career in public economic development. I migrated into hotels from commercial real estate and research. I’ve lived all over the country, including Cleveland, Chicago, Milwaukee, Orlando, Dallas and now Atlanta. When I’m not working, you’ll find me cheering on my two children in their life pursuits. I love indulging in my husband’s gourmet cooking, but then need to run to burn it off. I’m also passionate about yoga, as it helps me stay grounded and creative.
