With nearly 6 years of experience in crypto and Web3, I spent the past 2 years as a frontend software engineer at Coinbase working on features on Web for Retail Growth, Pay and Advanced Trading teams. Now, I am delving into the exciting realm of developer relations and community education within Web3. With experience moderating and speaking on panels, I am eager to leverage technical and interpersonal skills to build strong connections with developers and in the industry. I am excited to participate in building a Web3 ecosystem that reflects the voices and visions of black and brown builders, driving innovation and impact. I continually seek ways to ensure that knowledge of and access to the Blockchain and Web3 is available to students across the world, particularly in underrepresented communities. I create social media content and write blog articles that educates and engages the community on topics related to Web3. I am also involved in moderating and speaking on panels at various conferences and events to help further promote education and awareness in the industry. I've participated as a panelist, moderator and in some cases co-organized events such as: - IWBC (International Women of Blockchain Conference 2023, panel discussion on Careers in Web3. - Co-organized Crypto 101, a Black History Month Event in Portland, OR, to educate the Black community about participating in the crypto economy. - Helped to organize Antigua Tech Week 2019 and teach a group of 100 students about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, culminating in the creation of a smart contract. - Member of the inaugural National Policy Network’s Women of Color in Blockchain Congressional Briefing held in Washington DC. My panel discussed the Opportunities and Myths within Financial Inclusion and Cryptocurrency. - With organizations such as Blacks in Tech PDX, PDX Women in Tech, NSBE at various meetups and conferences throughout the country. - As a lead for two years in ColorBlock, the Employee Resource Group for Black and Brown employees at Coinbase, participated at conferences including AfroTech and Grace Hopper speaking on company culture, diversity and inclusion efforts, as well as introduction to crypto and blockchain. Additionally, I facilitated internal panel discussions. In my free time, I enjoy live music and comedy venues, traveling, hiking, and reading for my book club. I'm always on the lookout for new adventures and experiences! ✉ To learn more about my skills, message me via LinkedIn. I look forward to learning more about you!
