I am a tenured Full Professor at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, where I specialize in developing scalable, interpretable, and sustainable AI solutions. My research encompasses generative AI, AI for microscopy, computer vision, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP), with a strong emphasis on translating innovation into real-world impact. Over the course of my career(until July 2024), I have authored or co-authored more than 150 journal articles, conference papers, patents, book chapters, and books( Interpretability in Deep Learning(2023), Cloud Computing for Everyone(2024), Gender & Diversity Policy in AI (2024). As a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI, I have secured over €25 million in competitive research funding, leading the Bio-AI Lab and collaborating on projects spanning 16 European countries and beyond. My extensive network includes partnerships with leading universities, research institutions, hospitals, and industry leaders, all focused on advancing cutting-edge AI technologies. My 18-year entrepreneurial journey has sharpened my skills in product-market fit, sales strategy, market research, venture financing, and go-to-market execution. I've successfully launched AI startups focused on sustainable, scalable B2B solutions, showcasing leadership and resilience. Globally recognized for my contributions to AI, I have been named among Stanford University's Top 2% Scientists from 2021 to 2023. I have been selected for "Distinguished Researcher of the Year Award in Robotics & AI" at Asian African Economic Forum 2024. My work has earned accolades such as the Rolls-Royce Inventor Award in 2016 and the Kauffman Global Scholarship from the Kauffman Foundation, USA, in 2011. In 2024, I have been awarded with honorary doctorate in entrepreneurship from University of Azteca, Mexico. In 2024, I was honored as one of the "Most Admired Global Indians" by Passion Vista Magazine, "Top Business Leaders from Asia" by Global Leaders Today Magazine, and "Top 10 Best Global Business Leaders" by The Business Frontier. Additionally, I was recognized among the Top 10 NTU Singapore Alumni Leaders in 2023 by CEO Insights Magazine.
