Personal Banker

Ladbrokes Coral

Successfully completed the Aspire Training programme which covered a range of topics from HR to Employee Relations. The role also entailed completing a profitability improvement project assigned by the Sales Director.  The project involved the management of 8 shops with a total of 45 staff.  Analysis and evaluation of each shop was carried out using various inputs and solutions for improvement were discussed and implemented.  Use of coaching and development to improve staff performance was key to the success of the project.

Key achievements:
During the training programme, I was given a Project Management task, based on Customer Services, to complete. This involved planning &amp; organising, time management, and also a final presentation to the Retail Directors. As a result of passing this task, the idea which made up a core of the presentation, was introduced into the shops across the business estate.
Achieved an average of 88.4% in Wave 1 of the Mystery Shop programme for my group 8 shops, which resulted in them being second in the area. Currently in Wave 2, these same stores are averaging 97% and stand first in the area. This was achieved through Coaching and Performance Management.

Key achievements:
Improved store retail sales to be in the top 100 overall performing Carphone Warehouse UK branches during period April 2004 to April 2005, achieving 127% of the profitability target. Consequently my store was voted 3rd place in Branch of the Year.
Developed and rolled out a training course designed to increase a sales consultant's profit margin during 2004. This systematic approach enabled each individual to increase their level of service as measured by 'mystery shoppers' across the retail network.  
Entered into the 'Next Steps to Senior Management' programme in 2005. Existing managers were identified and given option to participate in the programme to develop their skills in order to be a part of the senior management structure within the organisation.
