From darkness to light - I Support and help people to find their meaning and Purpose When I look at my journey so far, I can see a clear distinction with the Covid-19 Pandemic having been the key moment of metamorphosis. A mere 2 months before the pandemic lock downs started in India in March 2020, we had completed the process of handing over day to day management outside of family control for the first time in 40 years. Having run a family business in the hospitality sector with a multitude of challenges and hurdles such as complex family dynamics, decision-making across generations, misalignment in values and belief systems, union negotiations, and financial mismanagement, I was not in the best space professionally. What started out as a few personal development webinars around Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Transactional Analysis & Emotional Intelligence, led to a chance introduction to a very senior mentor and coach. Over a one on one meeting, he lead me through his tool kit to explore myself more and also explained the basics of why a certification matters in coaching with a global body like International Coaching Federation. Coaching seemed a natural fit and next step given its biggest similarity to the hospitality sector – A client Centric Industry. I have been attuned to focus my attention on client needs and wants for my entire career thus far. And that’s how I embarked on my professional coaching career, my journey has been quite exciting so far. Today, I am passionate about the study of the self and am deeply moved by the works of Daniel Goleman on Emotional Intelligence, Viktor Frankl’s Man search for meaning, Dr. Eric Berne's (MD) book on games people play(human psychology & Relationships) and Michael Bungay Stanier - The Coaching Habit. I was deeply moved by a brief meeting with His Holiness The Dalai Lama in 2018. Through my coaching practice I seek to co-create a non- judgmental, confidential and safe space with the coachee where the latter can explore their inner world with the help of powerful questions and active listening.
