I am a content manager at Rapid Boost, a digital marketing firm in Canada, where I create engaging, customized, and SEO-friendly content for over 50 eCommerce brands in the North American market. I have over two years of experience in this role, and I am constantly upgrading my skills and knowledge in digital marketing, storytelling, and copywriting through various courses and certifications. Before joining Rapid Boost, I pursued a Ph.D. in war and media from the University of Sheffield, where I conducted a comparative exploration of the role perceptions and journalistic practices of war reporters in India and the UK. I also taught graduate and postgraduate students intermittently and published multiple papers in academic journals. My Ph.D. research enhanced my ability to ideate, gather, analyze, and present information in a nuanced and elegant way, as well as to work under challenging and high-pressure conditions. Prior to my academic career, I was a print and broadcast journalist in India for seven years, covering politics, health, civil aviation, and other issues. I gained substantial experience reporting from conflict zones within India and interviewing non-state actors, senior politicians, bureaucrats, and military officials. I also briefly worked as the PR and media manager for a national political party in India, where I developed and implemented their digital marketing strategy and core messages. My mission is to use my SEO content writing, editing, and proofreading skills, along with my media and journalism expertise, to create meaningful and targeted content that speaks to the audience and helps my clients achieve their goals.
