I am a London-based doctor with a passion for medical education. I am active on Instagram (300K+ followers), TikTok (80K+ followers) and YouTube (19K+ subscribers). I have been invited as a speaker by YouTube on several occasions, and I am a member of the YouTube Shorts Creator Community and YouTube Health programme. I have been invited to 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister as an "influential voice" to attend an NHS-related health briefing and convey the policies to a broader audience. I completed my MBBS degree and BSc in Medical Sciences with Neuroscience from University College London. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Science (MSc) in Medical Education via the University of Warwick to consolidate my teaching skills, with the aim of serving my audience further. I pride myself on making concise, evidence-based health videos packaged in a fun and entertaining way. I am eager to pursue a medical career that incorporates medical education, public health, and the potential of medical technology including the use of artificial intelligence and big data. My seniors, colleagues and peers describe me as charismatic, empathetic, and passionate. I have launched an organisation called Social Media Medics. We have already built a network of over 100 of the top UK health creators across TV and social media, with the aim of encouraging the highest quality, authoritative and evidence-based health information and education. Engaging in discussions with YouTube, NHS England, World Health Organization, UNICEF, and Patient Information Forum, our loftier aims are to bring our community together to stamp out medical misinformation and empower our global audiences to take charge of their own health. My wider skills and interests include: copywriting/technical writing, video production and editing, graphic design, coding, and learning new languages (including Spanish, Italian & Japanese). Hobbies include: chess, cryptic crosswords, songwriting and music production - I play the piano, acoustic/electric/bass guitars, drums, and I am learning the violin, cello and tenor saxophone. I look forward to connecting with likeminded and passionate leaders and changemakers who share my ideals of reaching out to a global audience, providing value through education and collaboration, and making the world a better place!
