I have recently taken on the role of ‘People Leader’ for my area, this is focused around sharing best practise, being the go-to person for colleague engagement, creating and embedding the right culture and implementing new methods of developing all of our colleagues within the area.  I recently created (alongside the Area Manager) the people plan for 2019/2020 which includes a new customer service program, a new induction roll out and the succession plan for the entire area.

During my time in Business Development I consulted with SME's throughout the U.K. to help find practical solutions to reduce their risk through the power of information.  Focusing specifically on campaign and project work and aiming to grow the overall strength of Experian through new idea’s, developing people, process improvement and generating new business.

After a successful spell in New Business Development I then moved into the B2B marketing team managing several hundred accounts. I worked closely with companies of all sizes in assisting them with building prospecting lists and establishing a new customer base.  I provided support and creativity to assist clients in building what could be a simple or complex postal, telemarketing or email campaign.

I helped to provide cost effective and 'out of the box' solutions that allow companies to build brand awareness and ultimately attract new business.

 While excelling at all targets given, I prided myself on consistently providing the best customer experience possible, along with a clear focus on sales quality with having the ability to also lead numerous branch projects.

I was a key member of the team, coaching the front line along with the sales team with how to spot potential referrals, how to excel at customer service and how to increase the use and awareness of multi-channel banking. Over the course of a year I provided relief management to several branches, assuming daily responsibility for the branch and its sales team.  I also led colleague forums and regional projects; I regularly exceeded my day to day responsibilities by gaining experience in as many positions and departments as possible.

On starting my Business Management degree at Hull University I continued to develop my skills and knowledge of retailing alongside putting into practise what I was learning about business in theory.

Based on results achieved in a short time I felt that I needed a greater challenge in order to be exposed to new problem solving situations at different levels, hence the promotion and move to Castle Marina, a store that was struggling at the time.

- Deputised and managed entire team on a regular basis (25+ colleagues with a five tier management structure)

Responsible for all aspects of the shop floor and the customer experience that included recruiting, training, motivating and developing people for target achievement.  This included reviewing, motivating, coaching and inspiring my teams to succeed at all sales targets along with breaking store records.  Directly responsible for a sales team of ten advisors, motivating and driving my team to become one of the best within the entire area and a force to be reckoned with.

In addition to the above, full responsibility for the whole store including budget management, complaint handling and managing our profit and loss, by deputising for the Store Manager on a regular basis throughout my time at this store.
