Geek by Nature | Cognitive Neuroscientist & Linguist by Training | L&D Executive by Profession | Informed by Research, Inspired by Practice Trained as a a linguist and cognitive neuroscientist of learning and memory, I accidentally found myself in L&D some 15 years ago and have never left. My mission has always been to translate the science of learning and human behavior in general to the practices, methods, and technologies in the space of learning, talent development, leadership, and organizational culture to bring out the best in people and organizations. I've held national, regional, and global L&D roles, working with numerous vendors, government agencies, and education NGOs across the globe. For the past 10 years, I've also taught and consulted on various L&D and human capital topics, especially learning science, the psychology and neuroscience of leadership, and research-informed learning experience design (LXD) and delivery augmented by AI. I sit on the Chief Learning Network (CLN) advisory board, I'm the former Panama lead for the Association for Talent Development (ATD), former President of the Latin-American Association for the Innovation in Learning & Talent Development (ALIAT), and a regular speaker at CLN, CDM Media, ATD, and other international L&D venues.
