Have you ever been on a call, trying to be professional, but your tiny humans had other plans??????


I had a very important sales call and mine were screaming in the background!! 


Trying to keep an even keel, I paused and something amazing happened. 


No my kids didn't suddenly hug and become saintly quiet  🤐 🤐 🤐 


The person on the call, a total stranger, showed me kindness and compassion by saying something completely unexpected:


'Hey, don't worry about it. My kids are in their twenties and they still yell at each other. You don't need to sell me your value. I'm already on board. Let's do this!' 


At that moment, the sale didn't matter. 


What mattered was the connection, the understanding, and the kindness. 


Our shared humanity. And our shared grey hairs.


Relationships are what matters most. 


Not the sale, not the deal, but the people.


Prioritize relationships over transactions.


Thank you to that prospect, turned client, turned friend for being the reason someone's day got a little brighter.

How Batman saved my life... from corporate burnout


I was slowly becoming a corporate gargoyle, living in a role that was sucking my soul 
and very vibrance out of me. 


My life changed when I was watching the Dark Knight movie and Harvey Dent (not Batman) said something that made my jaw drop


You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain


I experienced burnout in my final corporate years. It was incredibly dark and I could feel myself becoming a corporate villain. 


That famous line was the final motivation I needed to save myself. 


I've reflected on it for many years and I'm grateful I went through it. 


It put me on a journey of self-discovery that I wouldn't have gone on otherwise. 


I found versions of myself I didn't know existed. 


I explored hidden dimensions in my soul that I wouldn't have seen


It wasn't bad luck, it was meant to be.


It took me nearly nine years to fully understand my burnout but it led me to become deeply connected with my higher purpose. 


Burnout saved my life!


 I was a corporate gargoyle, living a life that wasn't mine. 


Burnout and a Batman movie forced me to take a leap of faith and find my true purpose. 


If you're feeling stuck or burned out, know that there's a way out. 


Don't be afraid to take the leap and find your true purpose. 


You never know where it might land!
