Overview of role: 
Design, configure RFS project work for numerous accounts. Manage BAU infrastructure incidents, service requests, capacity planning, resiliency Eg. Bord Gais, Aer Lingus, Musgrave
Duties: 
Responding to incident and service ticket requests through service now and Remedy Salesforce. 
Brought change requests through change management on a weekly basis. 
Troubleshooting of issues, providing RCAs.  
Building and managing windows servers 2003-2022.  
Deploying Remote desktop services farms, 2 tier Certificate authority servers, FTP, IIS. 
Upgrading of active directory forests, dns, dhcp.  
Building and managing VMware esxi hosts 5.5 -7.
Troubleshooting ESX issues. Upgrading off environments. 
Ensuring all servers are protected in Vmware site recovery manager, perform full disaster recovery tests and simulated tests, Monitor vROps for any capacity/resource savings. 
Deploy VM’s through Microsoft hyper-V. Performing windows updates manually, through sccm, wsus and ansible. 
Creating efficiency by automating, utilizing tools like powershell and ansible. 
Working with secops teams to close off violations on the environments. Managed McAfee, Symantec, Crowdstrike, Defender, FireEye management consoles and clients. Monitored alerts through Solorwinds  and Groundworks. 
Managed Internet proxy – Forcepoint. 
Backups through Commvault, VEEAM, IBM Cloud Backup, TSM,  Windows server backup.
Testing recovery practices - Restored physical, VMware, Hyper-V servers to required times or restored single files. 
Provided test restores of servers if required by client. Full test of restore of domain controllers, seizing FSMO roles and preventing initial replication.

IT Infrastructure Lead

Working as part of the WINTEL team in IBM GTS.
Technical lead managing day to day and building RFS requests.  Troubleshooting and preventative measures of Windows Server 2003-2019 in enterprise environments within the gas, bank, airline industries. 
Experience with:
Exchange 2010 and 2013.
Deploying windows updates through WSUS and SCCM.
Managing and monitoring McAfee and Symantec Anti-virus.
Managing and troubleshooting Vmware, SRM, vRealize and Citrix environments. Experience with

Participating in a 24x7 on call rota.
