Senior Product Manager

CyberSmart

- Led the product team for a UK start-up, building a SaaS product to help SMBs implement Cyber Security best practices, with user training, policies, cyber-insurance and device vulnerability scanning. 
- Responsible for roadmaps and product strategy, owning prioritisation decisions with the CEO and  Director of Engineering, and then managing the delivery. 
- Created sales and investor Product decks, selling the benefits of features and the value of using an inside-out and outside-in data collection approach in order to improve cyber security posture. 
- Worked with data engineers to implement and collect product metrics using Pendo, Amplitude and Segment along with transaction event logs in a big data warehouse (Looker/Snowflake).
- Ran numerous customer feedback sessions to understand product sentiment, value and key issues and established regular product calls with key distributors, vendors and partners.
- The product won the 2022 SC Award for Best SME Security Solution and the 2022 CompTIA Innovative Vendor Spotlight Award and was commended as the Technology Reseller's Cybersecurity Vendor of the Year.

- Owned the three SaaS software products for a webcast agency, looking to establish a low-cost web-based offering for webcasts, webinars and corporate team videos. Represented the products internally and with customers by running product demos, delivering presentations and helping with sales pitches.
- A very technical role, which included making a number of product architecture, technology and delivery decisions. Along with the CTO, led a team of 15+ engineers and 2 testers based in Spain, Bangladesh, India and Vietnam. Introduced agile scrums and acted as Scrum Master. 
- Delivered an SSO authentication and entitlement web service shared across all applications, streamlining identify management and billing across all 3 products.

Technical Product Manager

RocketFin

- Founded a consultancy to provide Product Management and Delivery services to Finance and Insurance companies and was responsible for selling, costing and then delivering development services.
- As a consultant, I established and led a new DevOps team to deploy a new banking application called  Monarch for the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). We automated our CI/CD pipeline, writing scripts to deploy in multiple Kubernetes environments.
- Priced, pitched and won the business to create a new Auditing application for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). Lead a small delivery team to specify the product features and design, and then develop and handed over the code for external-facing MVP used by CME data customers.
- Wrote a research paper with a RocketFin Partner called Glue 42, to communicate the benefits of Behaviour Mining in Financial Trading. I developed a Trade Surveillance Proof-of-Concept by connecting desktop events and application logs in Glue 42 with behaviour mining tools like Rapid Miner and Disco to identify patterns of user behaviour.

- Provided management consultancy as an interim BSM/COO looking after the operations for the global head of networks at BoA.
- Responsible for creating strategic business cases and executive pitch decks, in order to present to the BoA board and CTO to secure buy-in and investment. 
- Organised the annual Network Management offsite, to syndicate and sign off on the 2018 Network Engineering and Operations strategy and plan, covering BoA’s Data Centres, Core and Branch Networks and Perimeter Security.
- Project managed an outsourcing proposal with Cisco and senior BoA management to deliver $200M in savings over 5 years, with incentives for network automation.

BSM/COO Network Engineering

ICBC Standard Bank Plc

- Product Manager for Commodities IT, at ICBC Standard, leading a team of business analysts, designers, developers and testers to build a new B2C Precious Metals trading, transfer and vaulting product. The product was groundbreaking in that it was delivered in 6 months, passed a rigorous set of security testing, and later became a poster child for Agile in the bank. - Performed significant end-user testing with early prototypes, allowing us to collect and analyse feedback to shape requirements, features and the end product.
- Successfully went live with the new application just six months after project inception. Led the Go-Live project schedule, passing Data Security, Compliance, Penetration Testing and Audit gates.
- Formed a new 2nd line Application Support and DevOps team for Standard Bank SA, implementing a modern Target Operating Model to automate testing and deploy with Jenkins pipelines. 
-Deployed ITRS monitoring, successfully stabilising the applications, reducing latency and improving trade performance.

- Practice owner of eTrading and Market Data value proposition, leading a team of consultants to help Financial Institutions executives formulate strategy, build or select software, reduce latency, reduce costs or deploy in colocation data centres or the cloud.
- Product manager and delivery owner for the architecture, design and development of many software services and products, largely for front-office trading and pricing, market data or risk management. 
- Advised banks, IT manufacturers (Intel, HP and Dell), data centres providers, exchanges and data vendors on their Product Strategy, Commercials and Technologies.

- Led a global team of regional product owners, owning the middleware software platform for the distribution of real-time market data. Owned Product P&L, responsible for setting channel sales targets of approximately $30M p.a. and supporting with a central marketing and specialist sales budget.
- Prioritised customer requirements with development, owning the roadmap across a number of products,  and defining new products or services, successfully pivoting our products to serve Algorithmic Trading.
- Established a Developer Program and a Software Partner Program with supporting roadshows, documentation portals and specialised API support.
- Owned product commercials and enterprise negotiations.
