Support Technician

​Provide test support service for Army vehicles, weapons, and soldier systems on the most diverse and rigorous test range in the DOD. Support ATC in its mission to plan, conduct, test military weapons systems and equipment for DOD, other Government agencies, foreign governments, and private industry. The tasks may relate to weapon setup and operation to include firing, weapon maintenance, operator level ammunition inspection, assembly/construction/setup of targets, target stands, fragmentation arenas, and witness packs; installation of basic instrumentation on test items and targets; operation and maintenance of specialized facility equipment such as mounts, muzzle and breech scopes/sights, quadrants, pressure gauges, survey equipment, rigging, weapon firing mechanisms, fragmentation collection, cleaning and characterization equipment, and weapon and ammunition accountability systems; transport of equipment, stowage, and ammunition to/around the test site; disassembly/demil of targets; operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment; collecting data from ballistics instrumentation; recording of test data.

Weapon Systems Operator

United States Air Force

Provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.  Record facts to prepare reports that document incidents and activities.  Monitor, note, report, and investigate suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity in patrol area.  Identify, pursue, and arrest suspects and perpetrators of criminal acts.  Patrol specific area on foot, or motorized conveyance, responding promptly to calls for assistance.  Review facts of incidents to determine if criminal act or statute violations were involved.  Render aid to accident victims and other persons requiring first aid for physical injuries.  Investigate traffic accidents and other accidents to determine causes and to determine if a crime has been committed.  Testify in court to present evidence or act as witness in traffic and criminal cases.  Photograph or draw diagrams of crime or accident scenes and interview suspects and eyewitnesses.  Supervise 3-5 junior airmen ensuring records are properly maintained.
