Two-year term as project manager of the Centre for Innovative Telematics Applications (CITA).  The goal of CITA was to apply Information Technology as a rural economic development enabler.  Responsibilities included management of the Informatics Program; curriculum development for two Telework programs; recommending a distance education delivery model for the Telework programs including technical requirements and support; selecting and/or designing instructional resources for the two Telework programs to be offered via distance education.
	
One-year term as project manager, Clarenville Telematics Strategy - an I.T.-based, economic-development initiative of a consortium of partners including Eastern College, Clarenville Area Chamber of Commerce, Town of Clarenville, Enterprise Network Inc., and Enterprise Newfoundland and Labrador.

Instructor/Course Developer for the Informatics (Information Technology) Program.  Informatics is the study of the handling and communication of information, particularly by automated and electronic methods. This was a new program offering and a number of courses had to be developed for program implementation.
	
Program and Course Developer, and Distance Instructor for one-year and two-year Telework Programs.  Delivery made extensively use of e-mail, file transfer, Internet and telephone technologies. Two new programs had to be developed, included a number of special courses.

In addition to creating the curriculum, developing specialized courses, I was responsible for developing the funding proposal and presenting it to the client - Human Resources Development, Canada.

Responsible for conducting the background research into the technologies and methodologies used by other Provinces using Distance Education in the High School setting. Determine technologies available for interactive, real-time interaction, work with other agencies in our province to share resource to maximize offerings, develop a budget for implementation, steer the project proposal through the Cabinet Approval process, work with other personnel in the DOE to acquire the technical and human resources needed. The model for delivery of high school programs through Distance Education using audio-graphic teleconferencing, facsimile transfer and specially developed print, video, and computer hardware and software. 

Coordinated implementation of provincial High School Distance Education Pilot Project  Initiative. (1987-1993). Project received a national award from Bell Canada for Technology Innovations in Education (1989).
	
Other responsibilities included chairing curriculum development committee in the area of senior high school computer studies. The computer studies curriculum was revised and expanded to focus on computer applications like word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
