I love the combination of research, teaching and transfer of knowledge to industry. With more than seven years of professional experience in different optical laboratories at the University of Jena, the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt and the Technical University of Braunschweig, I am the head of the laboratories of our research group in the Laboratory for Emerging Nanometrology. The communication of experimental as well as simulation results in form of conference talks and publications in scientific journals is very close to my heart. In my startup we transfer the findings to market-ready products. My strong affinity for university teaching currently leads me to aim for my habilitation.
