I am a relationship-driven educator and lifelong learner who learns as much from those I meet as they do from me. As an Educational Consultant and Professor of Education, with over thirty years of experience in education, I sincerely believe that relationships, with colleagues, students, and stakeholders, are the foundation of success in any endeavor. I am passionate about working with ANYONE who wants to learn and grow. My work focuses on both educational AND organizational improvement. These go hand in hand; to dig deep and figure out the WHY before addressing improvement ideas. I completed my doctoral research at Fordham University in using evidence-based strategies to improve pre-service teacher preparation programs. The focus was around bridging theory and practice with a focus on classroom management strategies: building relationships, establishing procedures around expectations, and the importance of routines. This research is ongoing as I look for more evidence-based solutions around improving pre-service teacher programs.
