Dr Neema Kumari is currently working as a Chief Scientific Officer at Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences. Previously, she worked as a Senior Scientific Officer at Spicehealth, Haryana. She completed her PhD in Biotechnology from IIT Hyderabad in April 2021. She did M.Sc. in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology from Banastahli Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan in 2014. Her B.Sc. in Microbiology is from Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science, Chennai in 2012. She was a recipient of a UGC-NET scholarship with 70 AIR. She has also worked as an intern for 6 months (2014) and 1 month (2013) at CDRI, Lucknow; and Biotech Park, Lucknow; respectively. Her fields of expertise are T-type calcium channel, 3D cancer spheroids, and cancer. She knows molecular biology techniques, bacterial cell culture, mammalian cell culture, and assays to determine the viability of cells such as FDA/PI staining, MTT assay, migration assay, etc.
