I am Prabhashini Wijewantha and I currently work as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Human Resource Management of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. Before being promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer, I worked as a Lecturer for a period of almost 1 1/2 years and as a Lecturer (Probationary) prior to that. My teaching interests are in the areas of International Human Resource Management (IHRM), Global Leadership Development, International Management, and International Business mainly. Apart from that, I teach subjects related to the development of soft skills of undergraduate and postgraduate students such as Managerial Communication, Team Building, and Leadership Theory and Practice. In addition, I have also experience in teaching Principles of Management, Human Resource Management, and Human Resource Development. Being an academic, my research interests lie in the areas of Employee Stress, Well-being, and Happiness, International Human Resource Management, Global Leadership, Organizational Behaviour, and Teaching and learning in higher education. I also engage in undertaking training programmes in the areas related to Human Resource Management (HRM), General organizational management and administration, and Soft skills development. I devote my time for charity and community work as well and has undertaken a few projects with CandleAid Lanka.
