Experience of coaching 100+ students to first class standard. I cater all of my advice and lessons to the specific person, addressing their weak points and trying to find fun and creative ways of overcoming them.

Having achieved an MA in International Relations, I am able to provide content-driven lessons, as well as detailed marking and proof reading services.

Academic work is not just about the subject itself but also about 'playing the game', something many people struggle with. This is an area in which I belief I am of unique use, having devised many tricks and tips for achieving high marks throughout my academic career.

Previous achievements include helping a student on their journey from a mid 2'2 standard, to first class.

Also help students with undergraduate, and postgraduate applications, including Oxbridge.

Teach English as a Foreign language, also helping with essay writing skills.

Seminar Leader 
- Introduction to International Political Thought.
This module is taught within the International Relations department, and is focused primarily on uncovering the relevance of ideas about war, revolution and the state from thinkers as diverse as Thucydides, Rawls, and Lenin.

- International Political Theory. This module seeks to broaden our approach to International Relations, challenging orientalist assumptions, and considering a wider variety of sources, from Kang to the Iroquois Confederation.

- International History Since 1945. This module explores themes of decolonisation, empire, bipolarity, and power throughout the Cold War.

- Power Shift in International Relations: The Decline of the West and the Future of International Order. This module covers everything from China, Russia, the US and Multipolarity to the Global South and the rise of India. This third year module brings together the different strands from earlier modules, situating students' theoretical knowledge within the context of our insecure modern age.

Associate Instructor & Seminar Leader

Undertook a research intensive project focusing on Iranian and Saudi use of mainstream, and social media as tools of narrative warfare and propaganda. Specifically I looked at at how they have used these tools to legitimise their involvement in Yemen. My main focus is on narratives of sectarianism.

Regular contributor and presenter at the Gulf Studies Research Group, covering topics from the Yemeni conflict, to Iran, to the Gulf Crisis.

Organise and coordinate the Ambassadorial Lecture Series, at the School of Government and International Affairs. In November 2021, we welcome Prince Khalid bin Bandar Al Saud, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom. He discussed issues of climate following COP26, and answered questions on the Saudi intervention in Yemen.

In 2020, we welcomed David Rundell to Durham. He discussed his new book Vision or Mirage: Saudi Arabia at the Crossroads. David served as a US diplomat in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Syria, Tunisia, and the UAE.

Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)

Organiser of an academic conference, entitled "Discursive Challenges: Power, State Legitimacy and Counter-narratives in the Arab World", managing eleven scholars throughout their research process. Hosted at Durham's Institute for Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies, the project was in collaboration with the AHRC, the Open World Research Initiative (OWRI), and the HH Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammad al-Sabah Programme.

Chaired a panel entitled "Authoritarian Order or Authoritarian Resilience: Perspectives from North Africa". Also presented a paper entitled "Securitisation imperatives and the exaggeration of Iranian involvement with the Houthi movement".

I will also be co-editing the research papers, with a view to publication at a top academic journal.

PhD from Durham University, studying the use of narrative warfare, particularly in the form of sectarian rhetoric, on social media in the 'New Middle East Cold War' between Saudi Arabia and Iran, focusing on its impact in legitimising extraordinary actions in Yemen.

Currently working on a new project on the Iranian women's movement, researching Iranian state propaganda suppressing it, and the emancipatory use of TikTok by protestors.
