She is a strong leader with proven ability to successfully manage a wide range of stakeholders, including executive management, in order to push for organisational change which leads to more efficient and effective operations. She has also gained a thorough understanding of how to navigate and succeed in a matrix organization through working extensively with all functional and business units in a multi-national company at a global, regional and local level. Prior to her role in China, she spent almost 8 years in BASF's Real Estate and Facility Management department, including 4+ years as the Head of Real Estate & Facility Management Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong, and 3+ years in the Group Real Estate Projects Team in the Group Real Estate & Facility Management Department at BASF SE in Germany. As a group, they manage the full life cycle of BASF's real estate portfolio worldwide. Her passion is for workplace concepts which enable a more engaging and productive workforce. Prior to working at BASF, Winnie was a practicing lawyer for seven years in Canada. She had a general corporate/commercial law practice advising entrepreneurs, businesses, and institutions on the setup of companies, corporate governance issues, and a wide range of business transactions, including commercial real estate development and M&A. She also advised both employees and employers on employment law related matters.
