Dr. Zonzie McLaurin's Linkedin Analytics

Dr. McLaurin has an extensive 28-year career in healthcare administration, research, education, and over 3 decades of servant-ship of vast community volunteerism. She works at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she has earned an exceptional reputation for her commitment, innovation, implementation, support, and leadership with community projects and initiatives wherein she continues to serve the various communities and individuals of the state. Dr. McLaurin has a strong background in community outreach and engagement, capacity/relationship building, strategic planning, constituent engagement, community participatory/observational research, diversity and inclusion, and possess a broad range of organizational leadership, critical thinking, and external/internal communication skills. Dr. McLaurin has implemented major federal and legislatively funded projects, such as the Center of Excellence in Women’s Health, the Hinds County MS Site–National Children’s Study, and the Office of Mississippi Physician Workforce. Dr. McLaurin has the experience and ability to represent her organization, constituents, and community from a local, regional, and national level in a very professional manner to help leverage strengths to continue to improve the lives and well-being of our communities. Her experience has allowed her to work with and interact effectively with executives, legislators, researchers, and community leaders wherein she provides high-level communication, deliver value, problem solve, and make recommendations. Dr. McLaurin is also an Adjunct Faculty at the Belhaven University, where she teaches in the Healthcare Administration and Adult Studies programs. She plays an active role in the development and assessment of program goals, course design, and evaluations. Serves on the School of Business Administration, Advisory Board and hells develop course curriculum. Additionally, Dr. McLaurin is a member of the Junior League of Jackson, serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Junior Leagues International, presents locally and nationally at workshops and conferences in the areas of leadership, health and wellness, mindset, community outreach and engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and motivational speaking. She writes for local health and fitness columns, is a Professional Coach and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
