Dr. Amy is a Geriatrician and Director of Data, Impact, and Engagement at the Virginia Health Workforce Development Authority (VHWDA), a state agency that supports the health and wellness of Virginians through workforce planning, development, and innovation. She has nearly 15 years of experience in healthcare systems operating in various countries, and 10 years of experience caring for older adults and their families in various care settings, with a specialty in Home Care Medicine. She is passionate about wellness and health for family caregivers and the creation of health policies and educational programs to support them. She holds an MS in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, the third-rated program in the country, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. She is also a producer and host of The Longest Goodbye Podcast, an international speaker, and a board member of the Central Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. She leverages her expertise in creative and innovative systems design, culture, and strategy creation, design thinking, coaching and mentoring, caregiver education and support, and data collection and analysis using the Salesforce platform to drive impact and innovation in her current role and beyond.
