I initiated the study of patient-reported outcomes in my department using validated patient reported outcomes instruments (BREAST-Q). I also created interest in enhanced recovery after surgery, which resulted in my actively pushing ERAS forward at Houston Methodist Hospital. I also acquired private funding in order to study stress in medical residents learning a new technique.

•	Liason between the Investigational Cancer Therapeutics department and the Department of 
 Symptom research

•	Piloted 2 studies in phase 1 oncology clinical trials that gathered patient-reported outcomes 
 data

•	Analyzed data from early-phase clinical trials

•	Presented data to the Symptom Research preclinical group

•	Project management for trials with pharmaceutical companies with contracts with the 
 department, including projects involving mesothelioma, SCLC, and GIST

•	Integral part of a workgroup that submitted a PCORI grant

•	Part of a workgroup that submitted a NIH grant

•	Patient qualitative interviews, which is part of the validation process for patient-reported 
 outcome tools

•	Assisted in beginning the process for FDA qualification of a patient-reported outcome tool

•	Wrote a K01 grant which will be submitted this summer

•	Gave several presentations on mesothelioma for the department and summarized information 
 for pharmaceutical company use

•	Researched and prepared materials for use by pharmaceutical companies

•	Attended a grant writing training at MD Anderson Cancer Center

I'm a business strategy-minded leader, a bleeding-edge innovator, and a scientist.

I studied the effects of stress on motivated behaviors and neural networks during puberty as part of my doctoral Neuroscience studies. I've delved into many scientific & medical fields since.

In fact, I have pushed whole fields forward (seemingly) effortlessly, including Neuroscience, Cancer Medicine, Patient-Reported Outcomes, Reconstructive Surgery, Community Health, Orthopedics, Mobile Health, and Materials Science.

I see the connection and opportunities across scientific & business fields. As such, I've launched a bleeding-edge tech commercialization company, with our first tech venture being self-healing materials in a variety of use-cases, including the defense & space industries. 

Finally, I'm also a modern-day Renaissance Woman; I love art and music, business and academia, and I live to build community.

I find humor in most situations and construct evidence-based, thoughtful, novel solutions to everyday occurrences, research questions, and business strategy challenges alike.
