Proud and excited to share some big news for us at Attributa. On Monday, we'll be launching the first episode of our new podcast, Attribution Nation.

The podcast is all about... attribution (surprise!!). We're going to be launching episodes in a mini-series format, where each mini-series is going to be focused on a specific topic. At the end of each mini-series is a retrospective of the key learnings for that particular mini-series.

Our first mini-series, which we'll launch on Monday, is all about the history of attribution. How did we get here? And why did we go down this path?

In this mini-series, we'll be talking to some of the pioneers and leaders in the world of marketing attribution. 

Our first episode features Aaron Bird, the founder and CEO of Bizible (now Marketo Measure)... and now currently working on Inflection.io.

We'll be sharing the link on Monday when we launch.

Talking about attribution this morning at Adobe Summit.

I’m sure everyone will be well-rested and ready to lear… wait, the happy hours went HOW LATE???

Reflections from Adobe Summit 2024.

Last year was my first year there, and I went solo. It was a good experience, but 2024 was better.

First off, it was amazing getting my team together. Not everyone on the team had had a chance to meet each other in person just yet. So, getting everyone together and building those relationships was priceless. We'll be doing this again, another time this year, for sure.

We got to see and meet so many people. I'd love to list names here, but I'm sure I'd accidentally leave someone off and I'd feel bad. But, man... it's just so great to get to shake people's hands, give hugs and finally get to meet people you've only seen on LinkedIn or Zoom. Thank you for spending time with me and the Attributa team.

A big shout-out to Matthew Peterschmidt for joining me in our talk about attribution and all of the great things he and the team at Infoblox are doing in that space.

Also... from a product standpoint... it sounds like the big takeaway from Summit this year is Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B Edition. This sounds like a big new step for B2B at Adobe. I'm really looking forward to seeing the new features and seeing how they can help B2B orgs be more efficient and drive greater personalization.

Great job to all of the Adobe team that planned and participated in Summit this year. I used to manage events, so I know how much of an undertaking this whole thing is. You all did a great job!!

What is marketing attribution? If you ask 100 marketers that question, you'll likely get 25-50 different answers, including snarky answers like, "a waste of time", "pointless", and a few others.

Today, on the official launch of the Attribution Nation podcast, hear what former Bizible CEO, and co-founder, Aaron Bird, has to say about that question. I guarantee there's nuance to his answer that will make you think.

Aaron had tons of other interesting things to say in this conversation. I have to say, as someone that is still very new in my role as CEO, Aaron's thoughts in this podcast are changing many of the ways that I'm approaching my role. Both in terms of attribution, and in terms of growing the company.

One of my favorite parts about the interview with Aaron Bird on our Attribution Nation podcast was him talking about their Fast CMO concept at Bizible.

What is that? Well, it was a marketing concept that Bizible ran that was vastly different from anything their competitors were doing. And it worked... very well. Part of the reason it worked, is because nobody else was doing it, "... you have to do things that other people aren't doing."

Aaron's thoughts on this are sooooo interesting to me... both as a marketer and as a CEO.
