• My varied academic and professional career began in 1985, when I received a Bachelor of Music degree from Cleveland Institute of Music/Case Western Reserve. NYC followed with a professional career in the entertainment industry as a musician, recording engineering, audio producer, film producer, and recording studio and production company co-owner of Soundtrack City, NYC. • 1999, MS degree in Clinical Behavioral Psychology, EMU; limited license psychologist. • 2002, MA degree in Biopsychology, WSU; NIDA predoctoral fellow investigating the behavioral effects of opioid tolerance and dependence in the behavioral pharmacology laboratory of Alice M Young. • 2003, doctoral training in Cognitive and Social Psychology across the Lifespan (CaSPaL) with a minor in Biostatistics; Ty Partridge, dissertation chair. Supported by a GRA under the supervision of Bonita Stanton, professor, chair and chief of pediatric medicine Children's Hospital Michigan. • 2003, joined Lawrence Tech as an adjunct faculty for the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Communication in the College of Arts and Sciences. • 2006, Senior Lecturer of Psychology at Lawrence Tech. • 2008, defended PhD dissertation, "Investigating The Cognitive Processes That Mediate Protection Motivation Theory: A Parallel-Process Latent Growth Modeling Analysis", which was awarded the Best Dissertation Award “Social Sciences” 2006-2008, by the WSU Graduate Council. • 2009, Assistant Professor of Psychology and Psychology Program Director at Lawrence Tech; Chair of the Institutional Review Board. • 2016, Associate Professor of Management, LTU College of Business and Information Technology. • 2023, Interim Dean, LTU College of Business and Information Technology. • 2025, Dean, LTU College of Business and Information • Since joining Lawrence Tech I have published over 40 peer review journal articles and book chapters in the fields of business administration, neuroscience, and psychology. I have been awarded 9 external grants from NIH, NSF, HHMI, EDA, Coleman Foundation, and Skillman Foundation. I am an Associate Editor of the journal Frontiers in Psychology: Positive Psychology. • I currently teach business data analytics and biostatistics using R, JASP, Mplus, Minitab, and SPSS. • My active research and grant submissions are in the areas of human resource management, SOAR/AI, organization development, positive psychology, data analytics, entrepreneurship, and engineering education.
