P&L responsibility for a large vendor-on-premises engineering staffing contract at Westinghouse Electric Company.  Accomplishments include a highly successful contract rollover from the incumbent provider; implementation of an online time and expense reporting system; Modification and implementation of a Vendor Management System and Program to manage numerous domestic and off-shore vendors; Recruiting, staffing, administration and Human Resources oversight of more than 700 contract positions worldwide; developed contractual arrangements with vendors in Asia, Europe and Africa for support of customer international operations.  In addition, responsible for monitoring contractor market conditions in order to effectively manage compensation, benefits and recruitment.  Interface with Westinghouse management to support engineering needs in AP1000, steam generator replacement, reactor vessel head replacement, gas voids elimination projects and other nuclear plant modification and maintenance projects, as well as new plant startup / commissioning preparations.  Management and oversight of contractor overseas assignments including recruitment, immigration, travel, taxation, cultural awareness and logistics.

P&L responsibility for  technical staffing branch businesses located in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Erie, PA; and Louisville, KY. Business focus involves Information Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing support disciplines.  Successfully recovered the technical business in these branches.

Responsible for business development and project management in the Northeast Region of the country. Personal sales management effort resulted in doubling the active client base. Contracts included Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, and Technical Staff Augmentation.  Planned, bid and won numerous high volume, exclusive professional staffing contracts and projects at nuclear utilities.  Managed engineering assignments at Limerick, Peach Bottom; , Fermi, Palisades and D.C. Cook nuclear plants.

Responsible for business development, project management, and recruiting for the regional office in Pittsburgh.  Managed engineering assignments at nuclear plants in the Mid Atlantic region.

Ouadrex Energy Services Corporation

Responsible for development, staffing, and operations of technical staff augmentation and product line business areas.  Management of a remote operations office in Perry, Ohio, providing direct staffing support to the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company during the construction of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.  Achieved billings of $1M per month during the height of the construction effort.  Planned, bid, won and managed a long-term multi-million dollar contract at PECO Energy for upgrades to operating and maintenance procedures.  Managed engineers and other support professionals during the construction and startup of Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit 2.

Manager, Operations and Outage Services

Quadrex Energy Services Corporation

Assigned to support the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company during the construction, testing, and operation of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.  Initially contracted to write system cleaning and flush procedures and to implement a system piping hydrolazing project to address problems of welding purge dams failure to dissolve. Prepared system acceptance test procedures for BOP and Nuclear systems.  Responsible for startup and testing of balance of plant systems including planning and scheduling of resources, test procedure preparation and system turnover package development.  Supervised a group of construction maintenance planners and craft personnel which was responsible for system flush modifications and  maintenance of pumps, valves and other equipment prior to turnover to the customer.  Developed turnover packages, lockout and tagout requests, spare parts inventories.

Startup Engineer

Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation

Assigned to support the Long Island Lighting Company in the construction, start*up testing, and operation of the Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant.  Responsible for startup and testing of Radwaste, water treatment, feedwater demineralizers, turbine lube oil, generator seal oil, and fire protection systems.  Re-specified and designed modifications to several turbine support systems to address severe corrosion due to improper storage of carbon steel piping during construction.  Heavily involved with Field Quality Control to walkdown and verify welds in preparation for the Reactor Pressure Vessel hydrostatic test.

Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot and Drone Photography Enthusiast. Skilled in drone photography and videography, data collection and data manipulation. Skilled in 360 degree drone panoramic photography.

Prior to retirement I was a senior business advisor specializing in engineering managed staffing project design and implementation, international recruitment processes and procedures, vendor management, Human Resources, planning/implementation of large-scale staffing projects and customer relations.
