Coaching Dual Language Leaders/ DLI Instructional Coaching/ Professional Learning Opportunities What can my team and I do for you? We have several customized support packages. 1. Coaching Dual Language Leaders We can be a “guide on the side” to support new and experienced DLI program leaders as they lead programs, supporting teachers and students. 2. DLI Instructional Coaching Do you wish you had access to or funding for a school based DLI Coach for your teachers, but hiring is challenging? We can help by supporting your current instructional coaches so they are prepared to work in support of your DLI Program. Contract with us to work with your staff. We have extensive experience coaching instructional teams on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis. 3. Professional Learning Opportunities We can teach you how to create support action plans leading to improved academic and linguistic outcomes for DLI students and families. Dr. Carranza has extensive experience working and collaborating with amazing colleagues in this field, including, but not limited to serving as a: > Bilingual classroom teacher, ESL teacher, > EL and DLI Teacher Leader and Coach, > DLI Program School Principal, > District Coordinator of Dual Language and Biliteracy, > College Instructor in EL and Dual Language Certification and Master’s Programs. > Co- consulting with Dr. Tara Fortune Dr. Carranza holds teaching credentials in Elementary, ESL and Bilingual Education as well as both a Master's and Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College. Her experiences also include living and teaching in Mexico City, consulting work for the Wisconsin Center for Education Research at UW Madison, serving as an alignment analyst of bilingual and ESL state assessments in Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Michigan, and Puerto Rico. Dr. Carranza has had the honor of presenting at NABE, CARLA and ADTLE conferences on the planning and development of dual language programs and loves sharing her passion for expanding language opportunities with everyone!
