Director, Generosity

Redeemer Presbyterian Church

In this role, I have continued to lead and manage our Communications team while also:

1. Establishing digital communications and storytelling practices as a strategic part of reaching the organization's vision and mission
2. Working with senior leadership to continue to cultivate a spirit of generosity amongst stakeholders
3. Ensuring departments' programming is properly communicated to correct groups of stakeholders
4. Overseeing the production of our annual Ministry Impact Report and Congregational Survey
5. Strategizing with senior leadership to facilitate helpful and engaging Congregational Meeting

Director, Communications and Generosity

In this role, I had the opportunity to:

1. Lead the hiring process for a direct report, our Ministry Coordinator (since promoted to Specialist), from start to finish. 
2. Once hired, I conducted her onboarding during the beginning weeks of the pandemic shutdown (vitually) — her first day was our team's first day of remote working
3. Served on our COVID task force to ensure our stakeholders were properly informed, engaged, and cared for
4. Spearheaded much of the transition to virtual work regarding project management for our weekly gathering
5. Ran point on messaging for various staff transitions, new hires, and church partnership initiatives
6. Onboarded a.new video freelancer to help reshape our approach to and cadence for stakeholder storytelling
7. Managed donor communications and cultivation, including planning an appreciation and vision-casting evening with key leaders and donors
8. Engaged a team to design and develop a new website for our organization and project managed the process from kickoff to launch

Communications and Generosity Manager

In this role, I had the opportunity to:

1. Build out the tone and voice of Redeemer LSQ as a new church congregation connected to a larger network of churches and ministries, and while managing all comms channels, engage congregants and neighbors to connect them to our community, programs and services.
2. Designed and implemented emails, including a new e-newsletter.
3. Built out social media.
4. Worked alongside department directors to ensure all comms for their programs and events were crafted effectively.
5. Implemented a new way of gathering and planning comms materials and talking points for various aspects of weekly church service, including cues for speakers (announcements, updates, testimonies, service flow, etc.).

Communications Specialist

In this role, I had the opportunity to:

1. Manage our database of content creators, agency rosters, and social media influencers, which I reconciled across all systems, including CreatorIQ and Salesforce
2. Connect with creators and their reps to better understand their work and points of view in order to help our Producers assign brand campaigns properly to maximize reach and authentic brand stories.
3. Produce a weekly newsletter that was shared across both offices (in NYC and SF) to spotlight various creators and their work
4. Conduct research that would help with new business proposals in new brand segments and regions across the world

Community Coordinator

Warby Parker

In this role, I was able to:

1. Assist with content creation for the Birmingham store opening at The Pizitz and be on site before the grand opening
2. Develop a system for engaging micro-influencers to attend private events and walk-throughs before new stores opened across the country
3. Manage an in-kind gifting program with influencers for limited edition collection drops
4. Manage community engagement on local pages like Yelp and Foursquare

Social Media Specialist

In this role, I joined the larger Brand Management team to:

1. Help run community engagement across social media channels (primarily Twitter/X), using Hootsuite.
2. Collaborate with others on the team when dabbling into emerging social platforms (ex. Peach) and built out a reporting system for Snapchat content
3. Assisted with content creation for seasonal campaign launches and other moments that advanced the brand story
4. Presented on behalf of the Social team to the larger Brand Management department

Social Media Coordinator

Warby Parker is a transformative lifestyle brand with a lofty objective: to offer designer eyewear at a revolutionary price while leading the way for socially conscious businesses.

In this role, I've had the opportunity to:

1. Ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers from start to finish, about 75-100 interactions per day
2. Collaborate with other departments across the company to enhance the experience for customers
3. Advocate on behalf of the customers and provide actionable feedback to our Supply Chain, Tech, and Product Stragtey teams
4. Welcome and mentor new team members during their training period
5. Collaborate with the Social Media team to answer CX related inquires across social platforms

Customer Experience Associate

In this role, I had the opportunity to:

1. Create and distribute a survey to discover how to better serve current subscribers
2. Compile information on trends in the print media space
3. Create deliverables to boost presence in alternative channels like social media
4. Collaborate with other team members to discuss the short and long-term strategies for the paper
5. Helped add and facilitate relevant programming to monthly team lunches
6. Built a plan and helped launch a blog to better engage college students and young professionals.

Marketing Research Intern

PlaidJack

PlaidJack was a website design and software development venture housed within a business incubator network. Throughout my internship, I was able to:

1. Manage communication flow with clients from point of contract agreement to project completion
2. Work with team designer to ensure all elements were completed within the planned timeframes
3. Conduct research for new business development
4. Help write and edit business plans for new concepts and opportunities

Project Management Intern

Samford University

I worked on a team of eight to:

1. Plan and execute orientation weekends for over 2,000 new and transfer students and their families
2. Develop social media and video content with and for the Office of Admission to engage students and connect them to campus life
3. Lead groups of students through aspects of the weekend and answer any questions they may have about class registration, campus activities, etc. 
4. Write talking points and scripts for in-person and video content
5. Attend recruiting events with Office of Admission staff in various southeastern cities
6. Conduct the application and interview process for the next summer's group of orientation leaders

Orientation Leader

Student Leadership University

I helped execute five SLU 101 conference sessions in Orlando, FL. Responsibilities included:

1. Set up and tear down of the conference, hosted at DoubleTree by Hilton
2. Represent and recruit for Samford University
3. Operate the merchandise / book table and reconcile weekly financials / inventory
4. Lead high school students through day trips to SeaWorld and Universal Studios
