Our focus on a number of groups including the young, disabled, over 50s, long-term unemployed, offenders, ex-serviceman etc.  All our centres come with a resident experienced entrepreneur who is able to help occupants understand the principles of running a successful business.  George Cook had the original inspiration for the initiative and Keith Powney (now CEO) and I made the vision a viable and sustainable charity.  Leeds, Birmingham, Maidstone and Aldershot are centres that are open with a focus on growing in cities around the UK.

With an army of over 35 volunteers running the regions biggest and most successful basketball club, Maidstone Warriors Basketball Club, it is a pleasure to celebrate those who make a difference to the running of the club.

One such person is Chris Fairs who has been instrumental over the last 10 years in providing the foundation for our operations to run smoothly as well as driving the growth of the club to nearly 300 members.

When was the last time you reviewed your business vision?


In the hustle and bustle of business life, sometimes the noise and the issues of the day can drown out the fun and joy of running a business.

😫 Many owners that I meet, sometimes take a step back and think, what is this all about.

If that is you, then do not despair.  Help is at hand.

Because with a few small tweaks in your activity and mindset it is possible to recreate a business vision which has passion and purpose.

So a few tips to get you back on track:
☑ Identify the parts of the business that gets you energised and out of your bed in the morning
☑ Then take a look at whether those parts of the business are solving your customers needs 
☑ Identify if those aspects are profitable.  If they are not - how can you make them profitable
☑ Then make a decision to focus on those key areas of the business that drives the vision forward

And yes, sometimes you may have to go backwards to go forwards.

But the power of the process is that it drives focus for EVERYONE in the organisation.

WHY?

Because the focus is aligned on the vision which encompasses the passion and purpose of WHY the business does these things.
