Product Advisors: Help me out? I'm seeking input on structuring more formal advisor compensation agreements. What are your go to posts or resources? Context I get a fair amount of inbound from founders and executives seeking advising or coaching. It ranges from 2 co-founders with little budget to CEOs of $100M ARR companies (although that one fell through). How do you think about structuring these engagements, specifically related to compensation? I'd prefer not to do hourly by the hour. I'd like a minimum recurring cash payment, although that isn't necessarily a dealbreaker if other circumstances are present. But from there, it can get very creative. Equity, % of revenue, other milestones, etc. Link me to your favorite posts, articles, books, etc. that cover this well. Or DM me some agreement templates? I'm curious how solos are structuring advising arrangements these days. Are there norms? Or is there a wide variety? Thanks in advance!
