I am an international business executive with over 15 years experience working across countries and industries, including Fortune 500 companies, government organizations, start ups, and an Inc 5000 company. I remain knowledgeable of global issues, from markets and economics to politics and foreign affairs, and have conducted business in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. I have an entrepreneurial approach, but also believe in building strong teams through fostering a culture of trust and respect. I believe that creative problem solving is the foundation of successful business in the evolving market, and is inherent in organizations which support autonomy, experimentation, commitment, and continuous process improvement--all values I embrace. My passion to create, grow, and build things has led me to assist others with product development, start up business plans, product sourcing, branding, logo and other graphic design, packaging, social media marketing, and web site development. I know that the top line and bottom line are both essential to a sustainable business. I believe in spending smart to grow a business, and ensure that expenses are justified, meaning that they are in line with the market and will ultimately help lead to profitable growth more than alternatives. If the expenses aren't justifiable, I will coach team members to get a better deal. As I engage in performance and productivity improvement, I look to ensure it is for the benefit of not just shareholders, but for customers and team members, as well, to achieve both short and long term growth. I have an MBA from Brigham Young University, MA in Asian Studies from George Washington University, and BA in International Studies / Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs from Miami University. I am originally from Cincinnati, USA and have lived in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore.
