Field Service Technician

United States Marine Corps

Planned, organized embarkation, and supervised maintenance efforts for four deployments in South Korea, Philippines, Thailand, and Australia. Coordinated materials logistics and conducted preventative maintenance checks, services, and repairs to various equipment (electrical, fuel, exhaust, hydraulic, brake and pneumatic systems). Responsible for inspecting and correcting deficiencies on equipment and small crafts requiring 2nd, 3rd & 4th echelon repairs including: TRAM, 5k forklift, millennia military vehicle, D7G Dozer, M9 ACE, Backhoe, multi terrain loader, combat rubber raider craft and multi fueled engine. Collaborated with team members and third parties to meet organizational goals. Implemented effective strategies to improve operations and enhance processes.

Engineer Maintenance Chief

Coordinated parts acquisition efforts for humanitarian missions in the Philippines.  Evaluated, identified, and corrected critical deficiencies within the demand supported items and parts storage area resulting in a 98.7% unit readiness rating.  Accounted for $2M in misappropriated repair parts within the organization and debriefed over $1.5M in repair parts within the Global Combat Support System.  Established new programs comprised of 252 national stock number items and meticulously processed 2100+ maintenance parts valued over $400K.  Effectively trained and mentored staff members on the proper usage and accountability of demand support items.

Demand Supported Items/Layettes Manager

Responsible for tracking training requirements and implementing standards to achieve optimal unit readiness. Conducted weekly meetings with section leaders to ensure awareness of upcoming events as well as any deficiencies within their section. Maintained accurate professional development records for a company in of excess of 60 personnel. Updated documents daily and coordinated with higher headquarters schedule events.

Training Chief

Responsible for managing and maintaining training readiness standards on heavy equipment for 16 personnel including 4 supervisors. Supervised corrective and preventative maintenance on all heavy equipment inducted for intermediate level of maintenance. Provided support for all Marine Corps units on Okinawa. Requisitioned over 2 million dollars’ worth of parts required to complete repairs.

Heavy Equipment Section Head

Provided administrative support to a staff of 25 instructors that utilized 44 classrooms in 4 geographical locations (Okinawa, Camp Fuji, Japan, Iwakuni, Japan and Hawaii). Used Microsoft access to create a database that was used to track unit readiness, attendance and provided various required reports with data that could be analyzed statistically for the purposes of defining future personnel allocations to GCSS-MC program office. Provided training to 5000+ Marines on Okinawa and provided senior leadership with weekly training readiness reports to each unit. I was the sole individual responsible for organizing office spaces, running  network cables, and setting up phone lines in 2 buildings. Coordinated with facilities maintenance to repair any deficiencies within the 5 buildings that were utilized to provide training. Provided weekly training statistics to Commanders of various Marine Corps unit’s in Okinawa. Conducted in-briefs to each unit’ prior to implementation. Held “Secret” security clearance.

Training & Facilities Coordinator

Supervised 2 subordinates in proper issuance and return to tools on a daily basis. Performed monthly tool box inventories and reported all deficiency to higher. Placed tools on order to maintain 100% tool accountability. Organized all tools to achieved maximum efficiency.

Tool Room Supervisor

Responsibilities included accepting equipment into the maintenance cycle, inspecting repairs, verifying modification installation and returning equipment to the operation section. Worked collaboratively with technical team members to meet quality control standards and ensure organizational objectives were met.

Heavy Equipment Quality Control/Modification Inspector

Responsible for troubleshooting and ordering parts required to perform and complete repairs on the TRAM, MMV and TEREX 5k including all electrical, hydraulic, exhaust, pneumatic and fuel components. Additionally, repaired electrical, all “B” TAM’s. Additional duties included: Basic Electrician, Field Laundry and Shower repairman, Air Conditioner Repairman and carpenter.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Participated in a rigorous training program to foster skills in engineering, maintenance, and equipment repair.  Received a meritorious promotion for the highest GPA in the class.

Basic Engineer Equipment Repairer
