• Translate users’ requests into well-structured and clearly documented draft Business Cases for IT engagement and end-users alike as changing business needs arise to align business requirements to alternative technology solutions.

• Gather business requirements and information by visiting stakeholders to understand their needs and model them into effective system requirements to ensure system and database requirements within the IT infrastructure can adequately meet the desired needs of the business.

• Assist with the drafting of feasibility studies by reviewing options and recommending alternative solutions for consideration on an annual basis to ensure the right solutions are identified and selected for the Bank in a cost-effective manner.

• Serve as a technology expert between end-users and IT on business systems projects to ensure business needs are translated into functional software applications.

• Conduct functional and user acceptance testing to ensure new business systems achieve the intended business requirements for end-users once new systems are implemented.

• Conduct training on various business systems to applicable end-users as the needs arise to ensure staff are well versed with operating the systems to ensure increased value and make use of key benefits from IT business systems.

• Provide second-level technical support and preventative maintenance on various business systems daily for end-users to ensure users can be productive with an available IT System that is operating optimally.

• Conduct off-site monitoring activities as per the Risk-Based Oversight Policy Framework;
• Conduct on-site assessments in line with the approved examination/onsite assessment plan in line with the Bank’s 
policies;
• Liaise with the Payments Association of Namibia (PAN) and relevant payments stakeholders regarding payment systems 
matters;
• Administer and analyse cost and pricing surveys annually;
• Assess applications to issue payment instruments and for participation in clearing and settlement systems and produce 
assessment reports;
• Act as a catalyst to facilitate the reform of payment systems in Namibia through participation at various stakeholder 
meetings;
• Undertake and contribute to strategic projects that will further the interests of the National Payments System as a whole
