Promoted to this role, I was responsible for leading a team of eight Systems and ERP Analysts, developers and support persons. I worked with management to define and execute IT projects in‐line with company goals and was tasked with maintaining regulatory and corporate compliance.

Area Leader

In this role my primary responsibility was overseeing the IP network which served both the front office and the extensive robotic welding operation. I assisted and mentored the junior analysts, worked with the developers to maintain their infrastructure of SQL databases and supported a mix of physical and virtualized servers.

System Analyst

Showa Canada Inc

At Showa I oversaw all aspects of computing. During my tenure I completely replaced their infrastructure bringing a new level of stability to the IT operation. I was then promoted to a senior position managing and mentoring a junior administrator. While accumulating 5 years of software development experience, I designed one web based system in particular with a PHP/PostgreSQL back end and mobile bar code scanning clients to automate the receiving warehouse. That system saved the company a signiﬁcant amount of manual labour each year and increased the efﬁciency, accuracy and control of materials in the warehouse.

Senior IT Administrator/Developer

Exterion, a division of Magna International

At Exterion, I managed the IT infrastructure related to paint line automation, supported the SCADA system for mechanical and electrical building control and developed software for quality data collection and reporting.

Operations IT Coordinator/Developer (company closed)

For most of my career I was involved mainly on the operations side of the spectrum: systems
and network administration, IT department management, network design and installation.
Throughout this time I also did software development accumulating 5+ years of professional
experience. What I discovered along the way and what I found most rewarding was the time I
spent developing code. Now I'm dedicating myself to this endeavour full time and I'm excited
to get started.
