All hands meetings… But why? 

I’ll be Frank, and you be Mary, I struggled at first to wrap my head around the idea of these quarterly meetings. I mean, an hour every 4 months is hardly much to ask for, but it was another meeting, of which I failed to see the value. 

Until I did. 

And it doesn’t come from one session. I think that’s the part I missed. Each meeting has value, sure, but the real benefit is from the continued connection. 

I have a question for you. 
How do you build loyalty? 

Well, a lot of ways actually. But all of them don’t happen overnight. Consistency, bringing people along for every step of the journey, is how you build a loyal community. 

And these meetings, even when they happen first thing in the morning, do exactly this. 

This is regardless of whether the outlook is positive or more turbulent (fortunately, more on the former), because we are along for the ride. If we’re celebrating, we’re doing it together. If we’re pulling up our sleeves and pushing harder, again, we do it together. 

It’s a simple tool, but an important part of a system that supports each other and itself. At least, I’ve been sold on it.
