Back 2 Viz Basics (#B2VB) is a Bi-weekly challenge to help anyone develop and practice their data visualization skills. While I was a member of the leadership team we released 42 challenges, maintaining a biweekly cadence with breaks for summer and holidays. While the challenge started with the Tableau community, it grew to include Power BI and Flourish users also. #B2VB is a fantastic portfolio builder and has been instrumental in helping many of our participants land new or better jobs in the data visualization field.

In five years, I led a transformation of how my department approached its work. I designed, launched, and trained fundraisers on a tool that allowed them to see their lead portfolios in real time - for the first time! Then, I overhauled the rest of the teams' reporting processes, allowing the fundraisers and their supervisors to track a streamlined set of KPIs daily instead of four times per year - while building trust and transparency at all levels.
