I am working alongside ClutchGG’s Founder (Craig Winfield) to assist in market research and data analysis. This involves scouring an extensive database of over 265M potential contacts, recording the relevant information on Excel spreadsheets, which are then presented to the Founder. I am also tasked with reaching out to potential partners via email, and assisting in the organisation of meetings.

Esports & Gaming Data Analyst and Partnerships Manager

EY Foundation

During this work experience programme, I had the opportunity to learn more about the EY company and its business functions. I was also invited to EY Foundation’s Manchester Office to code an app (using Microsoft PowerApps) that allowed users to manipulate data from an existing Excel spreadsheet. Throughout this programme, I had an excellent tutor with whom I had monthly meetings to discuss my future endeavours.

This job role involved the management of Nativz’s social media accounts and creating content to engage our audience. I also wrote articles for the ‘news’ tab on the Nativz official website.

During my time at Cisco, I attended a wide variety of virtual webinars, hosted by industry professionals in a range of fields (marketing, CSR, etc). I completed a plethora of tasks related to each sector of the business, learning about Cisco’s internal processes along the way. This programme gave me key insight into the tech industry.

Howorth Air Tech

Throughout this internship, I was mentored weekly by Howorth's Head of Marketing, Ian Williams. I gained valuable insight into the world of marketing, particularly from a healthcare/pharmaceutical perspective. I was tasked with reviewing Howorth's social media channels and conducting analysis of their website and content, as well as researching into competitors to generate ideas on how to keep up with the market.

McDonald's

I'm sure you know what a McDonald's crew member does! A valuable experience, though an incredibly physically and mentally taxing one that wasn't suited for me. I did, however, learn vital skills such as endurance and teamwork, which I have applied to any and all future endeavours.

Food Service Worker

I am a young person from Greater Manchester who aspires to pursue a marketing-related career in the gaming/esports industry. My plan is to study a degree in esports in which I will gain vital skills that will compliment my career choice. I am also considering a Masters degree in Business Management and/or Marketing. My interests include anime, gaming and the world of business. I regularly keep up-to-date with business news, as I am aware that it is important to understand the industry if I ever want to succeed within it.

I have undertaken a marketing internship with pharmaceutical company Howorth Air Tech in which I learned about branding, social media marketing, and PR. I was also a Social Media Executive for esports organisation Nativz Gaming, managing their social media channels and writing articles for their News site. As of current, I am employed with ClutchGG as an Esports & Gaming Data Analyst and Partnerships Manager.
