My role includes:

-Performing analysis on the company’s digital products (mainly ecommerce and marketplaces sites +  apps) and discovering what we can do better, making recommendations and presenting findings to stakeholders (From board to devs, and everyone in between).
-Heuristic assessments, UX analytics and recommending developments to improve the customer/user experience.
-Collaborating with internal stakeholders to spec tagging for new digital products.
-Supporting product, sales & marketing teams with ad-hoc reporting.
-Conversion Optimisation - Creating and owning the optimisation road map with an optimisation team, carrying out analysis and UX research to develop hypothesis, running A/B, MVT and split URL tests.
-Building BI dashboards
-Web Performance Optimisation - Researching, specifying and owning requirements for improving website speed and performance.

Digital Product Analyst

Working on niche marketplace brands, using a data-driven approach and creative marketing methods to increase engagement and optimise to drive traffic and revenue on B2C and B2B sides.

The role included an overhaul of email marketing on a number of niche marketplace brands. I developed architecture for a series of automated email campaigns, reducing email-build time by 22.5 hours per week, per brand. 

The automation work meant I could focus on delivering a better email customer experience, including collecting data points against each contact (at the sign up stage, and throughout their email lifespan) to provide them with a super-personalised email content.

My work involved pushing forward with key platform developments, undertaking research to understand our diverse audience, developing strategies to drive email and social media engagement, supporting sales staff with key analysis and insights.

I assisted the University's application process by providing a student's view on any questions potential applicants may have. Duties included meet and greet sessions, Q&As with parents and applicants and providing a more down-to-earth alternative to official answers which would be expected as University responses.

My aim was to uphold the University of Plymouth Enterprise Society's mission statement  "To Foster and Encourage Student Entrepreneurship"​ by meeting aspiring entrepreneurs and equipping them with the tools and knowledge to start their own ventures.

I was elected President for the newly-formed Management Society - an academic network which gives Business Management students a greater university experience, lifelong skills and knowledge to help them succeed in the business world.

My goal was to develop the society further, by giving Business Management students a medium in which all years can communicate so that we can all learn from each other's experience. Except we decided to something a bit ambitious - taking a student-led group to a different country in order to learning about how business is conducted abroad. No other business society within the University had taken students on overseas trips before, and so we orchestrated a visit to Berlin for a few days.

Leading a team of motivated and talented individuals has already given me invaluable experience into the importance that quality leadership and communication skills play within an organisation.

I started working for Prince Regent Swimming Complex as a casual lifeguard, performing seasonal work. I was offered a full-time position, which I accepted, and quickly established myself as valuable member of the team. I was promoted to the position of Duty Manager, where I worked over two different sites in Brighton. I was in charge of teams varying between two and twenty members of staff, all of different job roles and capabilities.

My role was to oversee the smooth running of the facility, which meant dealing with staff enquiries, customer complaints and compliments, interacting with contractors and occasionally managing the emergency services.

Aside from my main role, I took on the responsibility of keeping the Prince Regent Swimming Complex & St Luke's Swimming Pool website content up-to-date. I decided to be trained in Pool Operations, which meant dealing with the technical side of running a leisure centre, in order to gain a more in-depth understanding of how the facility runs. This training became extremely useful when there was a technical problem which meant customers could not use the facilities.

Whilst I was not old enough at the time of my employment to appreciate it, working within Rushfields garden centre has taught me a great deal about how business is conducted and the skills I learnt are still pertinent today.
Over the course of my shift I was tasked with assisting in keeping the centre running smoothly on a ground level, whilst honing my sales skills by convincing customers to buy garden products which they needed.

I received training in different areas of the horticultural business, I found out I enjoyed selling garden plants and the associated accessories to customer who had enquiries of this nature.
