As a Business Advisor, and sometimes Mentor, I work with owners/operators, often in real estate, helping them gain clarity in a macro, micro, and importantly an annual cycle perspective - to understand the point their business is at, where it has the ability to get to, to see the map that will enable the required transition and growth and to help them reach the decisions along the way and the goal itself. Historically based in real estate, most recently I grew a £500M development pipeline of alternative assets as Co-Founder, Development Director and then Chief Operating Officer of Prosperity Capital. During this time, I set the development strategy, recruited and managed the Origination and Development Management team, running the office in London. I subsequently assisted with disposal of each asset to institutional investment funds. Concentrating Alternative Real Estate Assets including Build to Rent and PBSA, Prosperity Capital targeted a standard setting model of private rental accommodation, encouraging communities to develop through blind tenure principles and the sensible implementation of interactive communal spaces. The intention - to build loyalty with tenant customers and through this drive excellent long term returns for investors, creating community focused living environments. Over my career I have grown businesses in design, construction, asset ownership and development. I have learned to work on strategy and its implementation to enable scalability. I have also appreciated the value of providing support to the team that makes an organisation tick and of empowering individuals within to bring their best value to the table and enjoy the process. Starting my career in art, design and branding, I come from a creative background and this enables me to leave the box when it’s valuable to do so, finding solutions when challenges arise and to spot opportunities, be they nearby or on the horizon. Outside of work, I love Cooking, Music, Art, Skiing and my beautiful wife and two surprisingly well adjusted children. And I'm grateful every day for what I've got.
