GASLINI ACADEMY

The new ESE/Gaslini Campus in Genoa is designed to become the first Italian and international hub dedicated to managerial training in healthcare. Its goal is to train leaders and professionals capable of tackling the challenges of an increasingly complex sector by integrating managerial expertise, sustainability, and technological innovation. The combination of ESE’s experience in education and Gaslini’s excellence in healthcare makes this initiative truly outstanding. This is not just the creation of a new campus but also the establishment of the business school’s first Department of Pedagogical Sciences.

A key aspect of this initiative is the ambition to attract young people to healthcare professions, a sector that, in recent years, has faced growing challenges in appealing to the next generation. According to recent data, Italy is short by over 20,000 nurses, and there has been a significant decline in enrollments in medical and healthcare-related programs, with worrying statistics regarding the recruitment of administrative and managerial staff in the healthcare field. Globally, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates a shortage of approximately 10 million healthcare professionals by 2030, highlighting the urgent need for coordinated action.

Thanks to its strategic partnership with Excellentia, the campus aims not only to train healthcare managers but also to inspire young people, making careers in healthcare more appealing through orientation programs, mentoring, and excellence initiatives that combine healthcare management with talent development.

The Genoa campus aspires to be much more than a simple educational center: it aims to become an integrated ecosystem, uniting the Italian tradition of high-quality education with an international vision. Professor

The European School of Economics (ESE) is a private, UK-registered, multicultural, boutique business school. The ESE offers undergraduate, MSc or MBA courses and short programmes at locations in London, Madrid, Rome, Milan, Florence and Genoa.

Alongside the company CEO, I am in charge of planning, coordinating and managing development strategies, supported by a team of 8 people. A specific focus is given to the birth of the Genoa Campus, a reality opened in January 2025 following more than 1 year of planning, entirely dedicated to managerial training with a distinctive imprint linked to the nautical and health sectors, managed in partnership with the Gaslini Institute.

In addition to the efficient management of resources, my activities include the development of new strategic partnerships, the development of integrated marketing plans to strengthen brand awareness and position ESE as a reference point in the international education sector, the management of relations with international and Italian institutes, the launch of events and new training courses, and media and communication management.
