- Led the design, creation, and maintenance of a classified media portal, a Java Enterprise Web Application.
   - Developed a proprietary payment system and an image server with caching capabilities.
   - Managed the application on a pre-cloud era infrastructure consisting of 2 front-end servers and 3 back-end servers.
Successfully served approximately 900,000 unique visitors per month, translating to around 50 million page views.

- Designed and Implemented a PostgreSQL Database Replication System for Scalability: To accommodate our Java App’s need to scale up to approximately 110,000 simultaneous visits at peak times, I devised a two-tier database system. This involved vertically dividing the data between user back-office functions (settings and input database) and a real-time query database. This architecture enabled data sharding across multiple servers for enhanced performance. A key factor in this successful implementation was the use of large objects in the database to store binary data (images and video).
