NXP Semiconductors

✔ Situation: NXP and Nexperia planned to separate by Q1 2017. A highly complex project caused by the fact that the carve-out of Nexperia identities was taking place while the merge of NXP IT and Freescale IT was still in progress and, at the same time, this diverse landscape was handed over from one IT service provider to another. In addition, the acquisition of NXP by Quallcomm and its consequences were already looming
✔ Task: Project management based on NXP’s PRINCE2 implementation including all key components such as stakeholder management, progress reporting, financial management, requirements gathering and risk & issue log
✔ Action: Created and pitched a crucial Steering Committee decision document on the business ownership of identity data involving 4 main parties – HR and IT at both NXP and Nexperia | Identified, scoped, staffed and accelerated three project tracks which was a challenge due to the fact that the IAM scope was changed mid-flight due to business reasons | Secured key resources which was a challenge due to the concurrent business priorities
✔ Result: All Nexperia identities separated and ready to be transferred upon deal closure | Source management of Nexperia identities timely secured | Impact of the adjusted identity flow on the user provisioning and user access to business applications was mitigated

IT Project Manager "Orange " | Identity & Access Management

✔ Situation: NXP and Freescale merged per 7 December 2015. The main objective was to move to one joint IT organization (1 IT service provider, 1 set of global IT services, etc.) while achieving a cost reduction. There were 3 candidates: Two existing IT service providers and a new IT service provider. The program and transition scope was different per provider. Consequently, managing the program’s business case was a challenge due to the fact that the program already had to start to achieve its timeline and savings not yet knowing which provider would be selected
✔ Task: Project management based on NXP’s PRINCE2 implementation including all key components such as stakeholder management, progress reporting, financial management, requirements gathering and risk & issue log
✔ Action: Managed program business case & budget | Obtained buy-in from Global Service Owners on program scope and transition approach | Completed Service Provider selection in close cooperation with IT Procurement leads and Global Service Owners | Completed the transition chapter as part of the contract with the selected Service Provider | Ramped-up first four projects in total scope (12): 1) IT service provider selection, 2) Move to 1 global ServiceNow instance including a merged set of global IT service processes, 3) Move to centralized global set of DC & HW management services using Splunk, 4) Global move from a Windows 7 to Windows 10 based image with partial client HW replacement
✔ Result: IT service provider selected for all DC, LAN, Workplace, Service Desk and Security Services | Signed contract with selected IT Service Provider | Business case still intact after Service Provider selection and contract signing | Project teams staffed and executing the service provider transition | Handover completed to the program manager for the transition execution phase

IT Program Manager | IT Service Provider Consolidation

✔ Situation: ASML announced an extended strategic partnership with VDL ETG. The extension focused on the design of new and existing Wafer Handlers as VDL was already manufacturing these. The strategic nature is related to the fact that the partnership 1) enables ASML to focus on its core lithography activities and 2) creates a competitive supply chain instead of a supplier-customer cooperation model
✔ Task: Project management based on ASML’s project management methodology including key components such as requirements gathering, stakeholder management, progress reporting, financial management and risk & issue log 
✔ Action: Wrote IT chapter in the ASML-VDL partnership contract | Implemented governance including business and IT representatives of both ASML and VDL | Developed & implemented IT embassy concept including business & Corporate Security approvals thus enabling ASML and VDL engineers to work together in the same room while using applications from both companies | Designed & delivered business data transfer | Designed & executed IT migration strategy
✔ Result: IT contract in place | IT embassy opened | Successfully migrated all IT services, applications and data related to the Wafer Handler to VDL | IT embassy decommissioned

IT Project Manager | Wafer Handler transition

✔ Situation: ASML acquired Cymer to accelerate development of EUV technology.  EUV is vital to support the semiconductor industry’s transition to the next manufacturing technology, which is needed to create microchips with more functions at a lower cost and that are more energy-efficient, consistent with Moore’s Law
✔ Task: Project management based on ASML’s project management methodology including key components such as requirements gathering, stakeholder management, progress reporting, financial management and risk & issue log 
✔ Action: Lived in San Diego during crucial project phases | Built Interconnect to link ASML’s and Cymer’s global network | Built DC & Infrastructure stack in San Diego so ASML applications could be installed thus enabling business engineers to collaborate | Merged identity landscape thus enabling cross-company application access | Built Workplace Migration Factory and moved all Cymer users to ASML workplace | Built local US Exchange mail environment in order to comply with legal conditions subject to closing | Service Desk services extended to include new sites in scope | Obtained CIO approval for integration scenarios at key moments in project
✔ Result: Integration completed successfully | Enabled Cymer and ASML engineers to collaborate in shared applications | Merged IT landscapes & services as per ASML architectural guidelines

✔ Situation: Customer considered to migrate mail commodity service towards cloud solution
✔ Task: Execute & lead feasibility study
✔ Action: Created business case also considering legal, security and service aspects
✔ Result: Decision to postpone implementation of cloud mail solution

✔ Situation: Improve stability and redundancy of Identity & Access (IAM) Management landscape 
✔ Task: Project management as per NXP PRINCE2
✔ Action: Lead team of architect, engineers and representatives of service providers to achieve project results
✔ Result: IAM landscape upgraded for key components such as the IAM engine, infrastructure, drivers & processes

✔ Situation: The existing remote access solution had to be replace globally
✔ Task: Project management as per NXP PRINCE2
✔ Action: Replaced back-end infra in 3 regional DC's | Rolled-out remote access client to third parties and approximately 8500 end users | Decommissioned existing back-end infra | Enabled remote access service on non-NXP managed PC's based on renewed back-end| Executed pilot for smartphone & tablet access
