My career includes roles in business development at both international and local companies, founding a company, and angel investments, building a robust global network across the Middle East, India, Europe, and Silicon Valley. I established BaronGlobal, a consulting firm dedicated to providing startups with personalized mentoring and consulting for global expansion. It is focused on strategy development, setting priorities, attracting investment, and achieving international success, aiming for high client satisfaction and positive referrals. Presently, I am a mentor with Plug & Play, a global accelerator, and lead the global business at Safeware, a wearable airbag solution provider. Previously, I held C-level positions in startups like Santa.co in Edutech and Evident in digital healthcare. During my time in Silicon Valley (2016-2018), I invested in various startups, including in 3D animation, Edutech, video editing, and AI. Post-return to Korea, I founded an ICO consulting firm during the 2018 blockchain boom. In the smartphone revolution's early days (2011-2016), I joined the KAKAO team, working on projects like launching business models, building IoT platforms, and FinTech projects. My extensive experience led to launching the world's first mobile marketing platform, Plus-Friends. I then focused on Global Business Development, particularly in the MENA and India regions, developing relationships with partners, including the Saudi government and investors in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar Telecom. I also negotiated with renowned sports clubs like Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Before KAKAO, I was the head of Ads sales and partnership at Newoiz, collaborating with phone manufacturers such as Samsung, LGE, and Motorola for content partnerships. Earlier, I worked as a direct sales manager at Google Korea, implementing global online campaigns for brands like LGE and Samsung. Before this, I worked at IBM, Dell, and Intel.
