I led a team of young, vibrant SDGs enthusiasts in my state (Abia State, Nigeria) under the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN Youth) to plan and execute awareness campaigns for the SDGs:
- 3 Good Health and Wellbeing,
- 13 Climate Action

We introduced the 17 goals to selected secondary schools in our community, hosted a 2-day webinar series to enlighten the public on the relevance of the SDGs and the roles they can play in their actualisation.

To wrap up the program, we conducted a one day Cleanup exercise at the most popular market in our community and sensitized the traders on the need to maintain cleanliness.

We also distributed free waste disposal bags to them.

It was an awesome experience!

My most exciting moment in this role so far was when I helped to plan and execute our first free medical outreach as a foundation on the 26th of December, 2023; the first of its kind in the community.
   I set up a team of health professionals and supervised the basic health assessment and laboratory screening of 200 beneficiaries and also delivered a health talk on well-being preservation.
  I am currently a member of the programs development department.

Ego Esther is a Nurse, an advocate for Adolescent Girls/Youth Health and Development and a creative writer.

She is passionate about using her knowledge and writing skill to contribute to the self-development and health promotion of Adolescent Girls and youth in her community and beyond.

She desires to see the talents and potentials of Nigerian & African youths being harnessed for the advancement of our nation and continent.

This has led her to serve as a program coordinator in local NGOs, lead sustainable development initiatives focused on Youth Development in her community.

She's open to speaking engagements, volunteering opportunities, internships related to youth and Adolescent Girls development and also connecting with amazing change-makers in different fields.
