I left my 9-5 for 1 single reason.

So I could spend more time with my daughter.

I was the best performer on my team. 
Months later, I was required to work on-site.
For them, it was "just going back to the office".

For a single mom, it's never that simple.

My reasons were clear:

- I can't be away from my daughter's daycare
- I can't rush every morning/evening to pick her up
- I don't have anyone to "jump in" if I'm stuck in traffic

"But other women do it too". Yes, you're right.

And we're all different.
Some like going to the office.
But I... I prefer to work remotely.

The same day I said no, I started writing on LinkedIn.

Now here we are, 8 months later... with a waitlist of clients. But my daughter is never waiting. :)

The best "no" I've ever said in my life.

Read your posts out loud!

Imagine if you were reading your post on a stage. Your audience is listening to you, and you need to point out what’s important.

That’s how you’ll know which parts matter. 

Make those parts stand out.
Cut what’s unnecessary.
Perform loud and clear.

This is exactly what I was thinking 1 year ago. 

But I started posting. 
“Just in case” - I thought.
2 months later, I lost my job.

Luckily… I had my backup ready right here.

- get more opportunities,
- find a new job if you need to…

Well-formatted LinkedIn posts are 60% easier to read

(Here are my 5 ways to make your posts stand out) 

1. Write your hooks as 1-liners

↳ 2 liner posts perform slightly worse so make sure you’re “slightly better”.

2. Keep posts under 1k characters

↳ This is my own “rule” that helped me stay clear in my posts. (For wordy peeps only)

3. 3 lines of text max → then, add 1 white space

↳ You will lose 70% of your readers if you write long paragraphs. 

4. Don't overdo white spaces - it's distracting

↳ 2-3 white spaces one after the other are not tricking anyone into reading your posts. 

5. End your posts with 1 highlighted sentence 

↳ Powerful ending will make your audience “clap”. So, make them clap!

Formatting is all about details. 

But details make you stand out. :)

P.S. Do you ALWAYS write your hooks as 1-liners?

Is your LinkedIn profile fully optimized?

“About” section is not “about” YOU.
It’s “about” what you offer to people.
So, if you use it to introduce yourself…

Go and re-write it now.

The “About” section is now moved above your posts. 
Therefore, it’s going to be noticed more than ever. 
And you sure want to get leverage from it. 

Here’s how:

1. Talk about your clients’ pain
2. Write what they want to achieve
3. Show them how you do it for them

And don’t forget to add a CTA, so they can contact you straight away.

I wish I knew these 3 LinkedIn “rules” before 

(I would've grown even faster)

The more you show up = the faster you grow
The more you grow = more opportunities come
More opportunities = money in your bank account

Now, here is how you “show up more”

1. Find your “LinkedIn time” of the day

Choosing your “strict” posting time will help you plan your work and business "around it".

2. Engage 1-2 hours daily - just comment

Engage on your posts for 1 hour after posting and 30 minutes on other people’s posts as well. 

3. Choose your “rest days”

Find 1-2 (or more) days when you’re not posting to recharge and rest you brain from LinkedIn.

Fast growth → More income → Safe income

I post 3-4 times weekly.

I can definitely vouch for the way writing can change your entire life. 

And it doesn’t take a year. Or more. 
It takes 6 months. Or less.

No matter what you do, writing will help you.

My LinkedIn growth has been "fast". (so I'm told)

The reason? And this is in all honesty...

1. I post everything I know. Always.
2. I make every post "applicable".
3. I support others. A whole lot.

That's it. That's all you need to grow here.

Post good stuff. Make it applicable. Comment more.

This should be something that speaks of your character more than it says about your profession. 

Ex.: kindness, respect, understanding (any topic you genuinely stand behind in real life)
